Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 30, 2026

These Terms are a working draft covering how the app behaves today. They are pending review by a Philippine lawyer, and will be updated once Kumpuni's registered business name is finalized, before commercial launch.

1. What Kumpuni is

Kumpuni is a platform operated by [Kumpuni's registered business name — pending] that connects customers with independent service professionals in the Philippines. Kumpuni is not itself a party to the service agreement between a customer and a professional, does not employ professionals, and does not perform the services listed on the platform. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information to use Kumpuni. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. Accounts must be verified by email before use, as described during sign-up.

3. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: provide false information about yourself, a job, or your qualifications; use Kumpuni for anything illegal or unsafe; harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user; attempt to circumvent the platform's verification or safety features; or misuse another user's contact information shared through the app.

4. Ratings and reviews

Customers may rate and review a professional after a job is marked complete. Reviews must be honest and based on an actual completed job. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms.

5. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong with a job, first try to resolve it directly with the other party through the job's chat. If that doesn't work, contact us at support@kumpuniph.com with the job details — we aim to respond to complaints within seven (7) calendar days. Kumpuni may suspend or remove an account that repeatedly generates unresolved complaints or violates these Terms.

6. Kumpuni's role and limitation of liability

Kumpuni provides the platform that connects customers and professionals — we don't control, and aren't responsible for, the quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of services performed, or for the conduct of any user on or off the platform. To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Kumpuni's liability to you is limited to direct damages arising from your use of the platform itself, and excludes indirect or consequential damages arising from a service transaction between users.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. We'll update the "last updated" date below when we do.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

Additional terms for customers

Requesting a service

When you post a job request, you're asking professionals on Kumpuni to submit quotes. A quote is an offer from that professional, not from Kumpuni — review a professional's profile and rating before accepting.

Pricing and payment

Prices quoted are set by each professional, not by Kumpuni. Kumpuni does not currently process payments — how and when you pay (cash, bank transfer, e-wallet, etc.) is arranged directly between you and the professional you choose.

Cancellations and accuracy

Give a professional as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. You're responsible for describing the job accurately — inaccurate descriptions can lead to disputes over pricing or scope once work begins.

Access to your property

If a job requires letting a professional into your home or property, that access is between you and the professional — Kumpuni isn't present for and doesn't supervise the work.

Additional terms for professionals

Independent contractor status

As a professional on Kumpuni, you operate as an independent contractor, not as an employee, agent, or representative of Kumpuni. You set your own quotes, choose which job requests to respond to, and use your own tools and methods. You're responsible for your own taxes, licenses, permits, and insurance where applicable to the services you offer.

Verification

You must submit the requested identification and clearance documents and be approved before you can receive job requests. Providing false or altered documents is grounds for immediate account suspension.

Representing your services honestly

Only offer services you're genuinely qualified and equipped to perform. If a service legally requires a specific license or permit (for example, electrical or gas work), you're responsible for holding it before offering that service on Kumpuni.

Quotes and no-shows

A quote you submit should reflect the price and work you're actually prepared to deliver. Repeatedly failing to show up for accepted jobs, or quoting one price and demanding another on-site, is a Terms violation.
